Quivers and the Euclidean group

چکیده
We show that the category of representations of the Euclidean group of orientation-preserving isometries of two-dimensional Euclidean space is equivalent to the category of representations of the preprojective algebra of type A∞. We also consider the moduli space of representations of the Euclidean group along with a set of generators. We show that these moduli spaces are quiver varieties of the type considered by Nakajima. Using these identifications, we prove various results about the representation theory of the Euclidean group. In particular, we prove it is of wild representation type but that if we impose certain restrictions on weight decompositions, we obtain only a finite number of indecomposable representations.

A Universal Investigation of $n$-representations of $n$-quivers
noindent We have two goals in this paper. First, we investigate and construct cofree coalgebras over $n$-representations of quivers, limits and colimits of $n$-representations of quivers, and limits and colimits of coalgebras in the monoidal categories of $n$-representations of quivers. Second, for any given quivers $mathit{Q}_1$,$mathit{Q}_2$,..., $mathit{Q}_n$, we construct a new quiver $math...
متن کاملOn minimal disjoint degenerations for preprojective representations of quivers
We derive a root test for degenerations as described in the title. In the case of Dynkin quivers this leads to a conceptual proof of the fact that the codimension of a minimal disjoint degeneration is always one. For Euclidean quivers, it enables us to show a periodic behaviour. This reduces the classification of all these degenerations to a finite problem that we have solved with the aid of a ...
متن کاملFrom the Lorentz Transformation Group in Pseudo-Euclidean Spaces to Bi-gyrogroups
The Lorentz transformation of order $(m=1,n)$, $ninNb$, is the well-known Lorentz transformation of special relativity theory. It is a transformation of time-space coordinates of the pseudo-Euclidean space $Rb^{m=1,n}$ of one time dimension and $n$ space dimensions ($n=3$ in physical applications). A Lorentz transformation without rotations is called a {it boost}. Commonly, the ...
متن کاملThe use of geometric and quantum group techniques for wild quivers
In recent years, the representation theory of quivers has enjoyed an enormous impact of new techniques both from algebraic geometry and from quantum group theory. Some examples of this are the realization of quantum groups in terms of the representation theory of quivers via C. M. Ringel’s Hall algebra approach [61, 22], G. Lusztig’s geometric interpretation of the Hall algebra approach [49, 50...
متن کاملOn minimal disjoint degenerations of modules over tame path algebras
For representations of tame quivers the degenerations are controlled by the dimensions of various homomorphism spaces. Furthermore, there is no proper degeneration to an indecomposable. Therefore, up to common direct summands, any minimal degeneration from M to N is induced by a short exact sequence 0 → U → M → V → 0 with indecomposable ends that add up to N . We study these ’building blocs’ of...
